fIREPLACE CONTROL PANEL (CONTINUED)
ThERmOSTAT (some models)
initial Setup
Upon arrival of the fireplace, the thermostat will be set to the highest setting
(turned all the way right). This is done to ensure your fireplace unit will always
turn on regardless of the room temperature. *note: always make sure the
thermostat knob is turned all the way to the right prior to troubleshooting
heating issues.
Function
The thermostat will cycle the heater on and off when the temperature of the room is within +-1 degree of the dial setting. when
the heater is shut off by the thermostat, the heat indicator lights will remain illuminated and the fan will continue to blow for
approximately 20 seconds to cool down the heating elements. The fan will also turn on for 30 seconds approximately every 7
minutes to clear the fireplace of heated air to ensure an accurate room temperature reading by the thermostat.
Setting the Thermostat
First confirm that the thermostat is turned to HiGH (all the way to the right). next turn the main power on the heating unit on.
Then turn either the lOw or HiGH heat mode button on. allow the room to heat up to the desired temperature. Once the
desired temperature is reached, slowly turn the thermostat knob counter clockwise (left) until a click is heard. leave the knob
in that position. The heating unit will now shut down. The thermostat is now set at the room temperature. *note: You can adjust
the knob higher or lower slightly to fine tune the room temperature.
