4. Initial use
Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging mate-
rial. Check that the product and the components are intact and that the
device is working properly when using it for the first time Charge the
battery before initial use with the provided charger.
Remove the protective cover from the blade unit. Make sure that the
blade unit does not touch any object. Ensure that the safety button (
safety switch) is not pressed. When using the grass trimmer, hold the
handle firmly to operate the tool properly. The device is now ready for
use.
To start the device, press the "Safety switch" (9) and the "ON but-
ton" (10) of the device at the same time. Both the buttons have to be
pressed, otherwise the device does not switch on.
