Operating and maintenance manual – ENGLISH
° Remember the water weight of the clear waters tank contributes to determine the total technically
admissible weight.
° The useful load must not exceed the homologated weight, reported ion the motorhome booklet.
° The load on the roof rack must not exceed 80 Kg and must be distributed uniformly on the whole
surface of the roof rack itself.
° The installation of accessories, special equipments, the clear waters' tank, the gas bottles and the
load of the roof rack reduce the useful load.
° Respect the indication on the booklet about the axles loads.
° To not change the vehicle's stability and, a s a consequence, its driving characteristics, place the
loads as low as you can( that is to say above the motorhome's floor).
To calculate the useful load consider the following weights:
° all passengers and pets
° the basic equipment(drinkable water, full loaded gas bottles)
°the additional equipment( additional devices like bicycle rack, veranda, carpet)
°personal equipment(food stock, crockery, luggage, bed and bath linen, sport equipments).
How to load the motorhome in the right way
°Distribute the useful load uniformly on the left and on the right.
°Fix well the heavy objects so that they cannot slide, stowing in the lateral under chassis- peak, that
cannot open in the march direction.
°Stow the lighter objects on the wall-cupboards.
° If your motorhome has got a bicycle rack, use it only to transport bicycle.
° Weigh the loaded motorhome together with passengers for a security check.
°In the basic Fiat chassis the back elastic suspension is composed by different layers.
When the vehicle is not subjected to solicitations, the spring bands are horizontal.
If they are solicited, they bend down giving the impression that the vehicle is overloaded.
That behaviour represents the initial phase of a progressive reaction of the solicitations' springs.
Increasing the solicitation also the hardness of the spring increases its reaction.
Loading the roof
° The wet or iced roof is very slippery. There is fall danger.
° The maximum admitted load on the roof is 80 Kg and must be distributed uniformly on the surface
of the roof rack (if available).
° Bind the loads without using gum expanders very well.
Trample the roof only in the roof rack area keeping off from the trapdoors and from the junction
between roof and the over-cab roof, if possible, stay at the centre of the roof.
° When you use the roof rack, respect the maximum height from floor of the motorhome.
Back garage – Back peak
°If you load the garage or the back peak, respect the established axial loads and the homologated
weight. The maximum limit of loading is 100 kg on the vehicles with peak or back garage.
° Distribute uniformly the useful load. The excessive loads can damage the floor covering.
° The peak load reduces the total useful load of the vehicle.
Trailers
° Do not halt between the trailer and the vehicle during the hooking and unhooking of the trailer.
