HOW TO OPERATE

Before you begin, assemble your PROFESSIONAL PEANUT BUTTER MAKER
according to the steps outlined in the PARTS & ASSEMBLY section.
1.
Place the unit on a dry, level surface near an electrical outlet.
2.
Gather your favorite type of nut (1 lb. maximum per batch), your preferred type of oil, and
jar for catching nut butter as it dispenses. Some of the most popular oils are vegetable,
canola, sunflower, grapeseed, and peanut oil.
NOTE: Only use nuts without shells or with shells removed. DO NOT place
anything besides nuts and oil in the PROFESSIONAL PEANUT BUTTER MAKER.
3.
Add the nuts to the Nut Bin and replace the cover.
IMPORTANT: Never put anything other than nuts without shells into the Nut Bin. Doing
so may damage the appliance.
4.
Next, place the Oil Dispenser into the Nut Guide. Twist the Oil Dispenser counterclockwise
to make sure holes for the oil are closed, then add oil to the Oil Dispenser. Snap the Oil
Dispenser Cover onto the Oil Dispenser.
NOTE: Control the flow of oil into your nut butter by following the
steps outlined under CONTROLLING THE FLOW OF OIL.
5.
Insert the Nut Guide/Oil Dispenser assembly into the hole on top of the Nut Bin Cover.
6.
Place jar under the Nut Dispenser, and plug unit into wall outlet.
7.
To begin making nut butter, turn the Power Switch to (ON) and turn the Grind Switch to
(ON). Nut butter will begin to dispense into the bowl or jar below the Nut Dispenser.
NOTE: Some types of nuts are more dense than others and may tend to clog the unit. If this
happens, briefly turn the Grind Switch to Reverse (R) to change the direction of the Auger.
8.
To add oil to the nuts, twist the Oil Dispenser clockwise and oil will begin to drip into
the Nut Bin to create a creamier nut butter. To stop the oil, twist the Oil Dispenser
counterclockwise to stop the flow of oil.
NOTE: Some types of nuts naturally have a higher level of oil. Use more or less oil
depending on the type of nut being used and your desired nut butter consistency.
9.
As needed, spin the Nut Guide to mix and guide the nuts into the Nut Chute.
10. Once the desired amount of nut butter is made, turn the Grind Switch to the neutral
(center) position and turn the Power Switch to OFF (R). Then unplug the unit.
11. Mix in any sweeteners, spices and all other ingredients after the nut butter is made.
12. Nut butter may be served immediately. To store nut butter, put in an airtight jar or
container and refrigerate. DO NOT store in a cabinet, as fresh, natural nut butter will spoil.
13. Finally, follow the directions in the CLEANING & MAINTENANCE section
to clean your PROFESSIONAL PEANUT BUTTER MAKER.
