Installation and Operation
• Place the desk lamp on a plane, stable, sufficiently large surface.
Keep a minimum distance of 0.3 m between the desk lamp's light emitting opening and the illu-
minated surfaces (e.g. easily flammable objects, such as curtains, etc.).
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate underlay, otherwise
scratch marks can occur.
Never place the lamp close to flammable materials. Also make sure that no object
(e. g. a curtain) can come into contact with the lamp or into its vicinity through a
draught of air; there is a fire hazard!
The desk lamp should be set up out of the reach of children. Children could hurt themselves
or cause a fire!
• Connect the power plug to a standard power socket.
• You can turn the desk lamp on or off with the On/Off switch on the cable.
• The lamp head, including the inserted bulbs, can be adjusted to its position by means of the
trapezoidal mechanics and the integrated springs.
When doing so, make sure that the desk lamp does not tilt over. Do not exert any
force when adjusting. Do not touch the lamp head directly, there is a risk of being
burnt! Only adjust the lamp head using the adjusting lever on the lamp head bottom.
Do not put the product into extremely slanted positions. The minimum distance of
0.3 m to the illuminated surfaces may not be undercut, as these surfaces may oth-
erwise be damaged by the heat or may catch fire.
• Check the thumbscrews of the trapezoidal mechanics and the lamp head occasionally and
tighten them.
Maintenance and Care
• The desk lamp is maintenance-free, except for the occasional replacement of the light bulb.
• Before carrying out any cleaning of the desk lamp, the mains plug must be disconnected from
the mains socket. After that, allow sufficient time for the desk lamp to cool down.
• The exterior of the desk lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (discolour-
ing) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the surfaces, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in line with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
