Stains can be:
- RECENT (maximum 24 hours)
- GREASY (if the substance contains oil, butter or fat)
- SUPERFICIAL
In order to act properly on stains, it is important to be able to distinguish them. All
RECENT stains can be removed with the stain remover gun without having to wash the
item. As they get older, stains attach themselves to the fabric's fibres and in some cas-
es, steam cannot remove them. In such cases it is necessary to wash the item.
If the recently stained fabrics are treated immediately with mineral water, the stain does
not attach itself to the fibres and subsequent steam cleaning with the stain remover gun
will prove quicker and more effective.
Various stain removing products are commercially available, yet water is the most effec-
tive, ecological and cheapest especially in the form of steam form.
