4.2 Hydraulic connection
Connect hydraulic pump to section shears by means of quick release coupling (3).
Attention: You must not operate the quick release coupling (3) under load.

5. Code of Practice

Attention: Do not cut and punch simultaneously.
5.1 Cutting of section shears
• Insert appropriate shear plate set (2) from the front into the section shears (1)
• Snap in locking pins (7)
• Adjust length stop (9) to required length (measuring scale at the right side of the stop)
• Use the rail guide (4) and insert the section rail from the left side through the sheat plates, until it stops
• Operate hydraulic pump for cutting
• Remove rail and scraps from section shears (fig. 2)

Note: Be sure that the shear plates (2) for large rails are used correctly, otherwise the grinding may be damaged (fig. 3).
