Removing "Memory Stick" or disconnect this unit
When the access lamp is lit, never remove the "Memory Stick", turn off the
power of your personal computer or disconnect the connector. Doing so
might damage the data in "Memory Stick."

Close softwares such as Explorer running for this unit.

Make sure that the access lamp is not lit, then remove the
"Memory Stick" or disconnect this unit.
– For Windows 2000/Me –

Close softwares such as Explorer running for this unit.

Click the "Disconnect or remove hardware" icon in the task
bar.

Click "Stop Sony Peripheral-Drive (ex: [E:])" or "Stop USB Disk-
Drive (ex: [F:])".

Click "OK", then remove the "Memory Stick" or disconnect
this unit.

If you remove the "Memory Stick" or disconnect this unit improperly, the
warning messages appear on the screen.
In this case, the "Memory Stick" data may be corrupted.
Follow the procedures at all times when you remove the "Memory Stick" or
disconnect this unit.
