5. Operating Instructions
a. Charging the battery
The battery (6) must be charged before first use. Only after several charges and discharges will it attain its full
capacity.
• Connect the charger to the mains by means of the provided adapter.
• Place the battery into the charger for 5 hours.
• The indicator light will lit when the battery is fully charged.
CAUTION: Never charge the battery for more than 3 ~ 5 hours. If the red indicator does not lit, the battery may be
too warm. Let the battery cool down in that case.
b. Fitting and removing a bit
This device is equipped with a keyless chuck.
• Open the chuck (1) by turning the chuck sleeve (1).
• Insert a drill or screw bit into the chuck.
• Close the chick firmly by turning the chuck sleeve in the opposite direction.
CAUTION: Remove the battery from the machine before fitting or removing a bit.
c. Forward / reverse switch
• Push forward/reverse switch (4) to the left to drill holes and fasten screws.
• Push the switch to the right to loosen the screws.
CAUTION: Always wait until the motor has come to a complete stop before changing the direction of rotation.
d. Adjusting the torque
This device is equipped with an adjustable coupling to limit the torque when tightening screws.
• Turn the adjustment collar (2) clockwise to reduce torque and counter clockwise to increase torque.
• The correct setting depends on the type and size of the screw and the work piece. In case of doubt, start with the
lowest setting and increase the torque until you have reached the desired result.
• Turn the collar fully counter clockwise (to the drilling symbol) before drilling.
e. Switching ON/OFF
• Press and hold ON/OFF switch (5) to turn the machine on.
• Gradually increase the rotation speed by pressing the switch harder.
• Turn the machine off by releasing the ON/OFF button.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION: Disconnect from mains before starting maintenance operation.
1. All screws or parts of the device have to be tightly connected and must not be corroded.
2. There must not be any deformations on the housing and its accessories.
3. Moving mechanic parts must not show any traces of wear and tear and must be able to rotate unimpeded.
