Driver installation
Do not connect the product to a computer while installing the driver.
• Install the CD in the corresponding drive of your computer. If installation does not start
automatically, open the following file on the CD: Setup.exe
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• Restarting the operating system might be required after installation, in order for the product
to work properly.
Connection
• Connect the hollow plug from the power adapter to the power socket (5).
• Connect the power adapter to a common household wall socket.
• Connect the type B USB port (6) to a USB 3.0 port of your computer using the provided USB
cable.
• When using for the first time, the operating system will recognize a new hardware and then
complete the driver installation. This might take several minutes. The screen might flicker a
few times or turn black briefly during installation. That is normal when a new external graphic
card is recognized.
• The product is then ready for use.
Operation
a) Connecting a monitor
• Connect an HDMI monitor to the HDMI port (3).
• Connect a DVI monitor to the DVI port (2).
If having connected two monitors to the product, the maximum resolution for both
monitors accounts for 2048 x 1152 pixels each.
4K UHD playback via HDMI is only possible with the DVI port not being connected.
b) USB ports
• All 4 USB ports (7, 8) are suitable for connecting USB periphery devices (e.g. mouse,
keyboard, USB sticks, etc.).
• The ports are downwards compatible with USB 2.0/1.1. That allows you to also connect older
USB devices to these ports.
• The two USB charging ports (8) on the front are suitable, for example, for charging
smartphones/tablets. The maximum output current per port is 1.5 A.
The charging ports conform to BC 1.2 specifications.
c) Network port
• Connect the RJ45 port (4) to a router or network switch using a 1:1 connected, fully wired
network cable.
• If possible, have the connection and configuration carried out by a network or system
administrator (e.g. in larger companies).
• There are numerous reasons for network connections not being established properly. Refer
to corresponding expert literature or contact a specialist.
d) Connecting headphones/microphones
The jack socket (9) is intended for connecting headphones, headsets or microphones.
The jack socket is a combined socket functioning as both audio input and audio
output socket.
