MAINTENANCE OF THE UNIT
• Unplug the unit and allow to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
• We recommend cleaning the straightening and rotating heads, the brush and the diff user regularly to prevent accumulation of
hair, styling products, etc. Use a comb to remove hair from the rotating head and the small brush. Use a dry or very slightly dam-
pened cloth for the plastic and ceramic surfaces.
• To maintain the boar bristles on the rotating head in perfect condition, make sure you store the brush in the case provided for
this purpose after each use. (14)
• Use the case provided to store the body of the unit and its accessories until the next time you use it.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid, even to clean. Do not use over or near a washbasin or other container
with water. Using it near water may also be a danger. Never use the unit if your hands are wet or damp.
• This unit is not intended to be used by adults or children who lack experience or who do not know the product or
whose disability may result in danger, unless they have been given instructions beforehand and are adequately
supervised.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not use the unit like a toy.
• Unplug the unit after use and before cleaning.
• Keep the cord away from the hot surfaces of the unit. Allow the unit to cool before storing.
• Avoid contact between the hot surface of the unit and your face and neck.
• Always make sure the voltage used corresponds to that indicated on the unit.
• The cord should be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a person with similar qualifi cations to avoid all risks
to the user.
• Return the unit to the repair centre closest to you for inspection, adjustments, or electrical or mechanical repairs. Do not attempt
to repair the unit yourself.
• This unit meets the basic requirements of Directives 04/108/EEC (electromagnetic compatibility) and 06/95/EEC (safety of domes-
tic electrical equipment), as amended by Directive 93/68/EEC (CE marking).
• CAUTION: the polyethylene bags on the product or its packaging may be dangerous. To prevent all risk of suff ocation, keep the
bags out of the reach of babies and children. The bag is not a toy.
• When the unit is used in a bathroom, unplug after use as the proximity of water may result in danger even when the unit is turned
off . To ensure additional protection on installation, we recommend you equip the electrical circuit that supplies your bathroom
with a residual current device that has a nominal trip current of no higher than 30 mA. Ask your electrical fi tter for advice.
ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AT THE END OF LIFE
In everybody's interest and to participate actively in protecting the environment:
• Do not discard these products with your household waste.
• Use return and collection systems available in your country.
Some materials can in this way be recycled or recovered.
