ASSEMBLY (continued)
11. Install the cylinder:
A. From the box of parts shipped with the frame, locate (2) bars, (2) spacers, (2) rollers and (4) roll pins.
B. Assemble the bars, spacers, rollers and roll pins together. See Figure 6. Place this assembly on top of the upper
bolster so the rollers move freely on the bolster.
C. Due to the weight of the mounting plate and cylinder, the lower bolster can be used (with cribbing) to raise the
mounting plate and cylinder into position under the top bolster. Position the cylinder so the coupler(s) face the side
of the press where the pump is located. Thread the (4) threaded rods into the cylinder mounting plate.
WARNING: To help prevent personal injury and/or equipment damage,
• Ensure the cylinder and mounting plate has maximum thread engagement to prevent the threads from
stripping while the press is under a full load.
• The lower bolster can be used during assembly only to position the cylinder and mounting plate under the
upper bolster. Using the lower bolster in this manner during normal operation with a full load can result in
cable breakage and damage to the press.
D. With the cylinder and mounting plate in position under and in-between the upper bolsters, align with the rollers
assembly. Thread the threaded rods into the bars. When threaded completely through the bars, secure the threaded
rod with a roll pin. Thread a nut on the threaded rod under the cylinder mounting plate and secure with a roll pin.
F. Lower the bolster and remove the cribbing. Connect hose(s) from the pump to the swivel fitting(s) on the cylinder.
