WARNING:
These devices must be different and independent from
photocells or other devices in use to protect the moving area of
the gate. It is forbidden to parallel connect the same device on
the control unit City5 and on the control unit of the gate.
Connect the output of the device of measurement of the
presence of vehicles installed on the outer side between
terminals M2 and M3 of the control unit.
Connect the output of the device of measurement of the
presence of vehicles installed on the inner side between
terminals M5 and M6.
Starting up devices by contact
These can be switches or key selectors and interface with the
control unit by means of a normally open contact. It is possible
to connect a starting up device outside the gate and one
inside.
Connect the output of the starting up device installed on the
outer side between terminals M1 and M3 of the control unit.
Connect the output of the starting up device installed on the
inner side between terminals M4 and M6 of the control unit.
WARNING:
The starting up of the phase subsequent to the closing of the
starting up contact is subject to the contemporaneous
measurement of a vehicle on the same side of the gate. It is
possible an independent starting up installing a diode with the
cathode on terminal M1 and the anode on terminal M2 for the
outer side and with the cathode on terminal M4 and the anode
on terminal M5 for the inner side, provided that the devices of
measurement of presence work with normally open contact.
Encoded starting up devices
They can be proximity readers or digital keypads sending a
Personal Pass code through open collector output
WARNING:
To let those devices work it is necessary to install the
connecting receiver MR1, on which the codes enabled to start
up the phase are stored.
The procedure to store the cable access devices is the same
used for the transmitters. In this case, instead of transmitting
by remote control, the proximity reader VRD is started up by a
VTR personal proximity key or a VCR card, while using a TTCN
keypad a starting up code is typed in.
Connect the output of the starting up device to the terminal M8
of the control unit and the earth to terminal M9.
Alarm switch
It's a device with normally closed contact meant to signal
emergencies during which the lights must give outgoing all-clear.
During the emergency, a starting up control is given at regular
intervals to the control unit driving the gate, to make sure that
the gate is always open. The alarm input is disabled by default,
therefore it is not necessary to jumper the terminals when this
function is not used.
Connect the alarm device output between terminals M7 and M9
of the control unit.
