When using more than one extension cord to make up the total length,
make sure each cord contains at least the minimum wire size required.
•
If you are using one extension cord for more than one tool, add the
nameplate amperes and use the sum to determine the required minimum
cord size.
•
If you are using an extension cord outdoors, make sure it is marked with
the suffix W-A (W in Canada) to indicate it is acceptable for outdoor use.
•
Make sure your extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical
condition. Always replace a damaged extension cord or have it repaired by a
qualified electrician before using it.
•
Protect your extension cords from sharp objects, excessive heat, and damp
or wet areas.

Make sure that the trigger is in the OFF position and unplug the demolition
hammer from its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this
section.
CAUTION
•
The inserted tool may become hot during use. There is a risk of burning
your hands. Wear protective gloves when inserting or removing the tool
from the holder.
INSERTING THE HAMMER INTO THE HOLDER (A)
Clean and lightly grease the shank end of the demolition hammer. Insert the
demolition hammer in a twisting manner into the tool holder until it latches
itself. Check the latching by pulling the tool.
