OPERATION AND GENERAL PRINCIPLES.
SpeedUp REBEL is the speed release device that shows speed and other real data on the Intuvia, Nyon
Kiox or Purion display of the Bosch motorized E-Bike.
It is compatible with Bosch engines Gen 2 2014/15/16/17/18/19/20/21, Active, Performance, Performance CX,
Gen 3 Active Line + Active Line PLUS and Gen 4 Performance Line CX.
The installation must be made by competent and professional person.
For the proper functioning of the device it is necessary to carry out, before using the ebike, the procedures
indicated in the following points of these instructions:
1 - Total reset Point 1.0
2 - Learning
Point 2.(x)
These two points must be executed one after the other, without other functions in between such as moving
the bike, turning off, pressing other buttons.
Some of these operations are performed differently depending on the type of display used:
1.0 TOTAL RESET
From the OFF assistance mode, press the key sequence: walk, minus, walk, 5 time minus, walk.
The feedback figure 88.8 appears briefly to confirm the operation on the display.
2.0 LEARNING OF THE E-BIKE PARAMETERS
2.1 WITH INTUVIA DISPLAY
Simultaneously press Reset + Info on the Intuvia display until you enter the setting mode, then press the Info button 15 times. To exit
the setting mode, press the Reset key for a long time.
2.2 WITH NYON DISPLAY
Simply switch the E-Bike off and on again from the On/Off button on the Nyon display.
NB: With the "personalized pedaling" function enabled (for using the Bosch app from the mobile phone), the speed release don't work
2.3 WITH PURION DISPLAY
From assistance mode OFF press the key sequence: walk, minus, walk, minus, walk, with the plus/minus keys set the
circumference which is shown in cm and press walk to save.
Remember that the circumference range that can be set is between 150 and 249 cm, for wheels from 20 "to 29".
2.4 WITH KIOX DISPLAY
From service mode OFF: enter the "Settings" menu of Kiox and insert or change the wheel circumference by only 1 mm then confirm
with the "selection" key
2.5 COBI and COBI SMARTPHONE HUB
Ribelle is compatible with Cobi and Cobi Smartphone Hub displays but from these displays it is only possible to activate and
deactivate the speed release. All other functions or settings must be done with one of the other Bosch displays.
Speed r elease activation and deactivation: press the walk key 6 times.
3.0 ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION OF SPEED UNLOCKING.
From any of the assistance modes, press the key sequence: minus , plus , minus, plus
A battery level animation appears briefly on the display. Battery fill sequence means unlocked speed. Battery drain sequence means
locked speed as in original at 25kmH.
5.0 VIEW OF RIBELLE'S FIRMWARE VERSION
From assistance mode OFF press the key sequence: walk, minus, walk, walk.
6.0 MANUAL SETTING OF THE WHEEL CIRCUMFERENCE
It is possible to manually set the wheel circumference to allow a precise counting of distances and speed if the Bosch system is
calibrated inaccurately.
From assistance mode OFF press the key sequence: walk, minus, walk, minus, walk, with the plus/minus keys enter the desired
circumference (in cm) and press walk to save.
The firmware version appears on the display briefly.
