constant force of 12 kN (1224 kgf/2698 lbf) for
three minutes. According to OSHA standards,
this force must be 22.2 kN (2243 kgf/4946 lbf)
for three minutes.
All XSPlatforms products, including the Twist
anchor, have been tested and approved for use
according to several international standards.
XSPlatforms can provide a Declaration of
Conformity for all certified products. This docu-
ment refers to the official test report published
by the approval authority. For the Twist anchor,
this authority is the SATRA Technology Centre
(Northamptonshire, United Kingdom).
8. Connectors
All connectors used to attach a positioning
line or lanyard to the Twist anchor, such as
carabiners, must meet the requirements of the
applicable standards for safety connectors (for
example for European users: EN 362). These
connectors must be inspected before every
use as described in the standard.
9. Inspection and maintenance
The Twist anchor must be carefully inspected
and maintained. This increases the life of the
equipment and ensures for a more reliable
product.
Inspection
Mobile anchor points must be inspected by
the user before each use, and periodically by
a competent person (other than the user), in
accordance with the applicable standards. The
standard applicable to your country or region
should be used. Detailed inspection results
must be recorded in an inspection log.
If you find any defects, replace the product im-
mediately. If you are unsure, consult
XSPlatforms or your supplier.
Maintenance
All components may be regularly greased with
silicone to enhance operation and protect the
product.

10. Markings
The Twist anchor is marked with the name of
the manufacturer 'XSPlatforms', the type of
anchor point, the designation of the standard
which the product complies with (EN/OSHA)
and a CE-mark including the Notified Body
(SATRA, which is CE 0321). Every Twist anchor
has a unique tracking number, such as a serial
number or batch number. This number is com-
posed of the product number (16680), the year
and month of manufacture (JJMM) and a batch
number (XXXA, number XXX in batch A). The
product is also marked with the information
that the user manual must be read before use.

11. Lifespan
The lifespan of the product described in this
user manual is extremely dependent on the
frequency of use, how well it is cared for and
the environment in which it is used and stored.
12. Warranty
XSPlatforms provides a 12 months warranty
against technical defects on all delivered
products.
If the product is defective under warranty, the
dealer will repair or replace the defective part
within a reasonable time after receiving written
notification of the defect from the customer.
When a component is replaced by the dealer,
the customer/user must surrender the re-
placed part to the dealer which then become
the property of XSPlatforms.
The warranty is void if:
•
The defect is caused or exacerbated by
misuse or abuse of the delivered product;
•
The delivered product is used for a pur-
pose or in a different location than that for
which it was designed;
•
The customer or a third party has modi-
fied or repaired, disassembled or carried
out other activities on the product without
prior written consent from the dealer;
•
The delivered product was not used and/
or installed according to the instructions
and or installation instructions from the
dealer;
