If a fall occurs, the anchor point
must be inspected before continu-
ing to use it and the Twist anchor
must be re-certified. The anchor
must be taken to the dealer or the
manufacturer for inspection.
It is strictly forbidden to person-
ally carry out repairs on the Twist
4. Use
A rescue plan for all users and others involved
must always be available when using the Twist
anchor. This plan must be read and understood
by all parties. If it is not, then a qualified person
must be present to instruct the users.
The Twist anchor is NOT suitable for use on
a single (stand-alone) container.
Installation:
•
Place the Twist anchor in the pocket of the
container. (Figure 1)
•
Pull the safety pin up and turn the handle

. When positioned correctly, you will
o
feel and hear a 'click'. (Figure 2)
•
Check if the Twist anchor is completely
attached in the pocket. (Figure 3)
•
You can now attach your connector to the
Twist anchor. (Figure 4)
The Twist anchor can be used in different kind
of operation techniques. With help of the
Figures 5 and 6 the two main operation tech-
niques will be explained.
Restraint system
OPTION 1 (Figure 5):
For this purpose the following Personal Protec-
tive Equipment (PPE) is needed:
•
2 x Twist anchor (16680);

1 x Full body harness complying with EN
361, for example one of the Static-series;
•
1 x Mobile lifeline system (16500), com-
plying with EN 795/B;
•
1 x Lanyard with maximum length of 1,5
m (4.9 ft) complying with EN 354, for ex-
ample Restraint white or Restraint white
XL (16261/16266) or retractable lanyard
with maximum length of 1,5 m (4.9 ft)
complying with EN 360, for example
XStop mini one or XStop mini one XL
(16310/16315)
ATTenTIOn:
Be sure that one of the two "L " sides of the
container and both of the "W" sides are
blocked, for example by other containers.
By these means the user can not fall from
the L side where the Twist anchors and the
lifelines are installed.
When working on a stack of containers with
the same heights, make sure that corners
adjacent to blocked sides are also covered
(Figure 6).
OPTION 2 (Figure 7):
For this purpose the following Personal Protec-
tive Equipment (PPE) is needed:

1 x Twist anchor (16680);
•
1 x Full body harness complying with EN
361, for example one of the Static-series;
•
1 x Lanyard with maximum length of 1,5
m (4.9 ft) complying with EN 354, for ex-
ample Restraint white or Restraint white
XL (16261/16266) or retractable lanyard
with maximum length of 1,5 m (4.9 ft)
complying with EN 360, for example
XStop mini one or XStop mini one XL
(16310/16315).
ATTenTIOn:
