SPRAYER CONTROLS

Three different spray jet settings can be chosen on the sprayer depending
on the application and target object.
The Spray Pattern Selector can be found on the
front section of the sprayer.
Rotate the Air Cap to align the arrowhead of your
desired spray pattern to the horn on the Air Cap.
RISK OF INJURY! Never pull the trigger guard while
adjusting the air cap.
The air cap can only be moved a quarter turn. Do not force.
Turn the air cap to the horizontal position. This setting produces a vertical
spray pattern.
Setting the air cap in a vertical position produces a horizontal
spray pattern.
Setting the air cap at a 45º angle produces a round spray pattern.
Because this spray pattern size is much smaller, you must turn down the
fluid control to reduce the amount of paint spraying through the nozzle. If
you do not do this, you will get runs.
Set the material volume by turning
the Fluid Control Dial on the back
side of the trigger.
Turn Dial clockwise (+) will increase
the material volume.
Turn Dial anti-clockwise (-) will
decrease the material volume.

SPRAYING TECHNIQUE

The spray result will depend heavily on the smoothness and cleanliness
of the surface to be sprayed. The surface should be carefully prepared
and kept free of dust.
Cover or mask all surfaces not to be sprayed.
Before tackling any spraying, it is advisable to always test your spray
pattern on cardboard or a similar surface to find the correct setting.
Begin spraying outside of the target area and avoid interruptions
inside the target area.
Be sure to hold the spray gun at
an even distance of approx. 2 to
12 inches to the target object.
Move the spray gun evenly
cross-wise or up-and-down,
depending on the spray
pattern setting. A consistent
movement of the spray gun
results in an even surface
quality.
When flexing your wrist while
spraying, heavier build-up will
occur in the center, resulting in
unevenness and runs.

Wipe off any paint build-up on the nozzle and
air cap.
