READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
USING THE EQUIPMENT
Save this instruction manual for future reference. The user is
responsible to read and understand all safety instructions before
operating the equipment. Failure to do this may result in serious
injury or death and/or property damage. Repairs should always be
performed by an authorized technician. Only genuine PaintWIZ™
replacement parts must be used.
HAZARD: EXPLOSION OR FIRE
Solvent fumes and paint fumes can explode or ignite. This could
cause severe injury or property damage.
The turbine system must not be used in an area contaminated by
volatile or flammable materials since sparking can be expected in
the normal operation of the motor. This could ignite contaminants
causing a dangerous explosion.
Do not spray flammable or combustible materials near an
open flame, pilot lights, sources of ignition such as cigarettes,
motors, and electrical appliances, static electricity, sparks,
heaters and hot objects.
Keep spray area well-ventilated. Keep a good supply of fresh
air moving through the work area.
Turn off and disconnect power cord before servicing
equipment.
Do not smoke in the spray area.
Do not operate light switches, engines, or similar spark
producing products in the spray area.
Fire extinguisher equipment must be present and in good
working order.
Do not use materials with a flashpoint below 70°F (21°C).
Flashpoint is the temperature that a fluid can produce enough
vapors to ignite.
Plastic can cause static sparks. Never hang plastic to enclose
the spray area. Do not use plastic drop cloths when spraying
flammable materials.
Do not spray any material onto turbine case or hose.
Do not use materials that contain chlorine or bleach.
Do not use halogenated hydrocarbon solvents such as
methylene chloride and 1,1,1 trichloroethane.
HAZARD: HAZARDOUS VAPORS
Paints, solvents, stains, varnishes, insecticides and other materials
can be harmful if inhaled or comes in contact with the skin, eyes or
body. This could cause severe nausea, fainting or poisoning.
Read MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to know the specific
hazards of the fluids you are using.
Always wear appropriate clothing, gloves, eye and ear protection.
Always wear a respirator or mask. Read all instructions of the
respirator or mask to ensure that it will provide the necessary
protection against the inhalation of harmful vapors.
Store hazardous fluid in approved containers, and dispose of it
according to applicable guideline.
Do not stop or deflect fluid leaks with your hand or body.
PROP 65 WARNING
Handling the coated electrical wires of this product exposes you to
lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer
and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after use.
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
Do not immerse the turbine into water or any other liquids.
Do not spray outdoors in windy or rainy weather conditions.
Ensure electrical prongs are intact on turbine unit and extension
cords.
Always disconnect unit from main supply when filling the paint
container.
Never allow the unit to freeze.
Do not use the power cord as a strength member to pull the
turbine.
EXTENSION CORD USAGE
If using an extension cord, ensure that this extension cord is UL/CSA/ETL
Certified. It is recommended to use a 16 gauge or 14 gauge cord. An
undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power
and overheating. If unsure, use a heavier gauge.
If an extension cord will be used outdoors, it must be marked with the
suffix W-A after the cord type designation.
