STANDARD RIVETS
1. Assemble the tool as shown in figure 1. Make sure that the correct nose-piece is selected for
the rivet being used.
2. Release and open the handles.
3. Insert rivet shaft into the nose-piece.
4. Place rivet into the hole of the work piece
5. Close the handles. The rivet should now deform.
6. lf the rivet stem does not attach, open the handles, push riveter further onto stem and close the
handles.
7. Release the handles and remove the stem from the riveter.

RIVETING NUTS
1. Assemble the tool as shown in figure 2. Select appropriate mandrel for size of rivet nut in
question.
2. Release the handle and fix the mandrel with spanner and fasten on the fixing screw.
3. Fasten the rivet nut to the mandrel until end of rivet is level with the end of the mandrel. The
mandrel holder may need to be screwed further into the sleeve to allow this. Then adjust
mandrel holder so that it is touching the rivet head and lock into position with the lock nut.
4. Place into the hole of the workpiece, ensuring that the nut flange is held against the workpiece
surface.
5. Tighten the handle. When the rivet has formed a retaining bulge against the rear face of the
sample. Unscrew the mandrel from the nut riveter by turning the knurled end (A) of the draw
bar.

RIVETING STUDS
1. Assemble the tool as shown in figure 3. Select correct mandrel for the stud rivet in question.
Select the smallest mandrel holder that will allow the stud rivet in question to fit into it.
2. Release the handles
3. Fully screw the stud rivet into the mandrel. Screw the stud rivet into the mandrel as far as
possible, the mandrel holder needs to be screwed fully down into the sleeve to allow this.
4. Adjust the mandrel holder, it should be touching the rivet head. Once correct it can be locked
into position using the lock nut.
5. Place rivet stud into hole in work piece, ensuring nut flange is pressed against workpiece
surface. Tighten the handle. When rivet has formed a retaining bulge against rear face of the
sample, unscrew the mandrel from the stud rivet by turning the knurled end (A) of the draw bar
and then screw on a new stud rivet for the next operation.
6. Release the handle and pull bar.
