➤ Conduct a function test before finally installing the device.
➤ Remove the two screws from the top of the device (fig. 6 1 page 5).
➤ Place the device into the slot and secure it with the fastening screws pro-
vided (fig. 7 1 page 5).
➤ Fit the cover frame (fig. 8 1 page 6).

Troubleshooting
Problem
The device will not switch
on.
No sound.
The device or display are
not functioning correctly.
The device will not play
any disks.
When the disc is playing,
the sound is interrupted by
vehicle vibrations.

Cause
The vehicle is not
switched on.
The cables have not been
connected correctly.
The fuse is faulty.
The volume is set to mini-
mum.
The sound is muted.
The reverse gear is
engaged when the reverse
mute function is activated.
The system is unstable
(e.g. the on-screen display
is frozen).
The disc has not been cor-
rectly inserted.
The disc is dirty or dam-
aged.
The device has been fitted
at an angle of more than
30° to the horizontal.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Switch the ignition to
ACC/ON or START.
Check whether the cables
are correctly connected.
Replace the fuse with a
new one of the same type
(5 A).
Check the volume.
Switch the sound on
again.
If required, disable the
reverse mute function.
Reset the system by
pressing the RESET but-
ton.
The disc must be inserted
with the label facing
upwards.
Clean the disc and check
for damage.
Fit the device at an angle
of under 30° to the hori-
zontal. Fit the unit so it is
firm and secure.
