c) Connection of external playback devices
• Connect the AUX IN connector (22) with the line or headphones output of the external playback device.
• Use a suitable adapter cable if necessary.
d) Connecting headphones
• Plug the connection cable of the headphones into the headphones connector (12).
The integrated loudspeakers will be switched off automatically, when headphones are con-
nected.
e) Connecting the power adapter
Before plugging in the power adapter, ensure that the voltage indicated on the device is com-
patible with the mains voltage available. Do not connect the power adapter to a mains socket if
the information does not comply with the available mains voltage. An incorrect supply voltage
will entail serious damage.
Be careful when handling the power adapters and mains connectors. Mains voltage may cause
fatal electric shocks.
The mains socket, to which the power adapter is connected, must be easily accessible, so it
can be quickly isolated from the mains voltage in the event of a fault.
The record player and all connected devices must be turned off when connecting the voltage
supply.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional way to prevent
accidents.
Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables between the different devices
and any extension cables comply with the regulations and comply with the operating instruc-
tions. If an extension cable is used, be certain that they have the sufficient electrical load
capacity.
• Plug the low voltage plug from the power adapter in the power supply connection (27).
• Plug the power adapter into a mains socket of the public power supply grid.
• As soon as the record player is supplied with electricity via the power adapter, it will be in standby mode
and is ready for operation.
f) Radio aerial
• Unwind the FM wire aerial (25) fully to obtain as good a VHF reception as possible.
