A simple to use hand tool for precise bending of component leads to aid
insertion in P.C.B.'s etc. Perfect 90° bends are achieved with minimum
of effort. Tool incorporate pointers to allow fast and accurate setting of
spacing between board holes, easily adjusted via thumbwheel. A
centralising also fitted which offsets or centralises the body of the
component. accommodates without re-adjustment a wide range of lead
diameters and scratching is avoided by use of resilient pads.
Instructions for use
1. Line up pointers (b) with holes in the printed circuit board (f) by
means of the thumbwheel (a). This facility ensures fast and
accurate reproduction of lead spacing onto the component.
2. Place component (g) on top of tool with leads in slots (e). The
centralising finger (c) should be set according to the required
positioning of the component body.
3. With light pressure on tool handle the component is drawn down
forming perfect 90° bends in the leads.
