ND 1722-3 61-610 INSTRUCTONS
• Follow the MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE on page 4 to maximize accuracy and
prevent over-ranging of the pointer.
• Read the AC voltage measurement using the AC V labeled red arc (third arc
from the top).
CAUTION: For maximum safety, do not hold the meter in your
hands while measuring higher voltages using the 250 and
500 ACV ranges.
To Measure DC Voltage:
• Set the rotary switch to the highest range (500) in the DCV function.
• Insert the red test lead fully into the + input jack on the meter and fully seat the
black test lead into the – input jack on the meter.
• Hold the test leads behind the finger guards and apply the lead tips in
parallel to the circuit under test.
• Follow the MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE on page 4 to maximize accuracy and
prevent over-ranging of the pointer.
• Read the DC voltage measurement using the DC labeled black arc (second arc
from the top).
CAUTION: For maximum safety, do not hold the meter in your
hands while measuring higher voltages using the 250 and
500 DCV ranges.
CAUTION: Discharge all capacitors and inductors before taking
current measurements.
To Measure DC milli-amps:
• Set the rotary switch to the 250m range in the DCA function.
• Insert the red test lead fully into the + input jack on the meter and fully seat the
black test lead into the – input jack on the meter.
• Hold the test leads behind the finger guards and apply the lead tips in series
with the circuit under test.
