• Do not plug in or unplug the AC/DC adapter and/or touch the pin connector (metal part) of the AC/DC adapter
with wet hands.
• IMPORTANT: to connect the device to the mains, please connect the supply pin connector to the device supply
socket (N) and only then connect the AC/DC adapter plug to the mains socket. To disconnect the device from
the mains, first disconnect the AC/DC adapter plug from the mains socket and only after that disconnect the
pin connector from the device supply socket (N).
• Packaging (bags, box, etc.) may be dangerous and must be kept out of the reach of children. Keep the device
out of reach of children, pets and persons with cognitive limitations.
• Before connecting the mains adaptor to the mains socket, ensure that the information on the power data plate
and the mains adaptor are compatible with your electricity distribution network and the corresponding socket.
The reference power data plate can be found on the mains adaptor.
• Should the AC/DC adapter plug supplied be incompatible with the electrical socket, use certified plug adapters,
provided applicable legislation in the individual country allows for it.
• To prevent overheating and damage to the compressor, switch off the device for at least 40 minutes after every
20 minutes of uninterrupted use.
WARNING! Using the device before 40 minutes have elapsed may result in the motor overheating and may
cause the safety cut-off device to activate.
• To ensure correct operation, make sure that the filter is dry. The filter cover may be removed using a tool with a
flat blade.
WARNING! Keep the filter cover and the filter out of the reach of children as these are small parts
and could represent a swallowing and suffocation hazard.
• Do not use the device around nitrous oxide, oxygen or anaesthetic mixtures that are flammable in air.
• Turn off the device and disconnect the AC/DC adapter from the mains after use and/or before adding more
medicine. Do not fill the nebuliser cup past the maximum level indicated (10 ml) and check that all components
have been assembled correctly.
• Keep the device, the AC/DC adapter and the power cord away from hot surfaces.
• Do not use the device while in the bath or shower, or in damp environments, or near baths, sinks, washbasins, or
in any other situation in which there are liquids that may come into contact with the device.
• Never touch the device and the AC/DC adapter with wet or damp hands.
• Do not drop or put the device into water or other liquids. Should the device fall into water, immediately unplug
the device, do not use the device anymore and contact the PIC Service Centre (www.picsolution.com).
• Do not use the device if you feel drowsy.
• If children or persons with physical or mental disabilities use the device, proper supervision by an adult is
required. Children must be kept under adult supervision to ensure that they do not play with the device. The
device contains small parts that can be swallowed and the AC/DC adapter power cord is a strangling hazard.
• Do not use connectors or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Make sure the device is placed on a flat, level surface when in use in order to prevent spillage.
• During use, the surface must be free of any objects that may obstruct the correct flow of air.
• Do not obstruct the holes of the filter cover, which are located in the bottom of the device, with cloths or
anything else; the motor may overheat, reducing the performance of the device.
• Do not pour liquids on the device, especially on the filter cover, since this may lead to the undesired expulsion/
nebulisation of those liquids.
• Before cleaning or performing any maintenance work on the device, disconnect the AC/DC adapter from the
mains by pulling the plug out of the electrical socket.
• If you decide you will no longer use the device, disconnect the AC/DC adapter from the mains and cut off the
power cord so that the device cannot work. Dispose of the device and the AC/DC adapter in compliance with
applicable laws. We also recommend eliminating any parts that are potential hazards, particularly for children.
• Refer to applicable laws for information about the disposal of accessories that are subject to wear. To dispose of
the device, refer to Directive 2012/19/EU.
• Do not use the device and the AC/DC adapter if, after a fall, there are signs of damage or deterioration to any
of its components. If in doubt, do not use the device or the AC/DC adapter, and contact the PIC Service Centre
(www.picsolution.com).
• In the event of a breakdown and/or anomaly when using the device, immediately turn it off and disconnect
the AC/DC adapter plug from the mains socket. Then contact the PIC Service Centre (www.picsolution.com)
exclusively.
WARNING! The AC/DC adapter is the element that separates the device from the electrical mains. When using
the device, to disconnect it from the mains, switch off the device and remove the AC/DC adapter plug from the
power outlet. Only connect the AC/DC adapter plug to a power socket that is easy to reach, so that it will be
easy to disconnect the device from the mains. Do not attempt to open, repair or make changes to the device
and/or the AC/DC adapter.
• The patient and operator are one and the same individual. The only operations that are to be considered safe
for the patient/user are those listed in the following paragraphs: "Preparing and using the device", "Cleaning and
