y With the flashlight facing forward, slide the 5522 into the charger until
the contacts snap into place.
y The LED indicator changes to constant red indicating the 5522 is
properly inserted into the charger and is in fact charging. The LED
indicator remains red until the battery is fully charged. At full charge, the
LED indicator turns green.
y The total time to full charge the 5522 varies depending on the remaining
charge in the battery pack.
y To confirm a full charge, keep the 5522 in the charger and turn it on.
The LED indicator will change to red. Turn off the 5522. If the 5522 is fully
charged, the LED indicator will turn green. If not, it remains red until the
charge is completed and the LED indicator turns green. The 5522 will now
be fully charged.
REPLACING LITHIUM-ION RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
While it is highly unlikely that the Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery Pack
for the XPR-5522GM will ever need replacement, the product is designed
to allow the end user to replace it if needed. To replace the rechargeable
battery pack, carefully follow the instructions listed below:
WARNING: TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS
ATMOSPHERE, DO NOT OPEN THE LENS BEZEL IN THE
HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT. THIS TASK MUST ONLY BE
PERFORMED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.
WARNING: WHEN EXCHANGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
PACK, USE ONLY THE APPROVED 5522-BATT RECHARGEABLE
BATTERY PACK FROM BAYCO PRODUCTS.
WARNING: TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS
ATMOSPHERE, THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK MUST ONLY
BE EXCHANGED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.
y Loosen the locking screw located on the side of the lens cap. CAUTION:
Do NOT attempt to completely remove the locking screw. Doing so is not
necessary and may damage the threads. The screw simply needs to be
loosened enough to allow the lens bezel to unscrew.
y Unscrew the lens bezel from the housing in a counter-clockwise
direction.
y Loosen each of the two Charger Contact Pins located below the Floodlight
Lens. These two Screws should be loosened until approximately 1/8"
of thread is visible. CAUTION: Do NOT attempt to completely remove
either of these two screws. Doing so is not necessary and will potentially
damage the light's ability to charge. The two screws simply need to
be loosened enough (approximately 1/8") to allow the reflector / circuit
assembly to be removed.
y Turn the light upside down and carefully shake the light in order to remove
the reflector / circuit assembly. Allow the reflector / circuit assembly to
slide into your hand. CAUTION: Do NOT touch the reflector surface with
your finger. Doing so may damage the reflector surface.
y Next, allow the 5522-BATT rechargeable battery pack to slide out of
the light paying close attention to the battery pack's orientation within the
handle.
y Using only the approved replacement 5522-BATT rechargeable battery
pack from Bayco Products, slide the new battery pack into the handle of
the light using the directional arrow marked on the side of the pack to be
a guide to proper battery orientation.
y Align the reflector / circuit assembly so that the switches on the
assembly are aligned with the switches on the housing. Carefully insert
the assembly back into the flashlight housing until it is fully seated in the
housing. CAUTION: Be careful to not touch the reflector surface with
your finger. Doing so may damage the reflector surface.
y Tighten both of the Charger Contact Screws until they are fully seated.
CAUTION: Do NOT overtighten these two screws. Doing so may damage
the threads and impair the light's ability to properly charge.
y Replace the lens bezel by screwing it onto the housing in a clockwise
direction.
y Tighten locking screw. CAUTION: Do NOT over-tighten. Doing so may
damage the threads and impact the light's Intrinsic Safety.

THE XPR-5522GM HAS FOUR SEPARATE LIGHTING MODES:
y Momentary Flashlight
y Constant-on Flashlight
y Floodlight
y Dual-Light (both the Flashlight and Floodlight on at the same time)
Momentary Flashlight Mode
Lightly press the top body switch for momentary operation. Release the
switch to turn the light off.
Constant-on Flashlight Mode
Press the top body switch until it clicks and then release for constant-
on mode. Press and release the top body switch again to turn the light off.
Floodlight Mode
Press the bottom body switch until it clicks and then release for floodlight
mode. Press and release the bottom body switch again to turn the light off.
Dual-Light Mode
Dual-Light allows the user to turn on both the Flashlight and the
Floodlight, at the same time. Press the top body switch until it clicks and
then release for constant-on mode Flashlight Mode. Next press and release
the bottom switch to activate the Floodlight. Both the Flashlight and the
Floodlight are now running. Press and release both the top and bottom
body switches to turn the lights off.
WARRANTY
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Bayco Products, Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in
workmanship and materials for the original purchaser's lifetime. The Limited
Lifetime Warranty includes the LEDs, housing and lenses. Rechargeable
batteries, chargers, switches, electronics and included accessories are
warranted for a period of two years with proof of purchase. Disposable, non-
rechargeable batteries are excluded from this warranty. Normal wear and
failures which are caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, faulty installation
and lightning damage are also excluded.
In the event that Bayco Products, Inc. receives notice that any product
does not conform to its warranty, the original purchaser's sole and exclusive
remedy, and Bayco Products, Inc.'s sole and exclusive liability, shall be
for Bayco Products, Inc., at its sole option, to either repair or replace the
non-conforming product in accordance with this limited warranty. The
original purchaser shall follow the instructions below to qualify for a repair
or replacement product. This is the only warranty, expressed or implied,
including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
IN NO EVENT WILL BAYCO PRODUCTS, INC. OR ITS AFFILIATES
OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND REGARDLESS OF
THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING
NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE.
CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO CUSTOMER, FROM ALL CAUSES OF
ACTION AND ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY, WILL BE LIMITED TO AND
WILL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT PAID
BY CUSTOMER.
If this product is used for rental purposes, the warranty term is reduced
to 90 days from the date of purchase.
WARRANTY CLAIMS – USA
Return the product to the place of purchase for all warranty related
issues. If this is not possible, contact Bayco Customer Service at (800) 233-
2155 M-F 8-5 Central Time for a Return Goods Authorization (RGA). Do not
return this product to Bayco without first receiving an RGA Number from
Bayco Customer Service. When returning the product, the RGA Number
must be written on the outside of the shipping box.
WARRANTY CLAIMS – OUTSIDE OF USA
Return the product to the place where purchased for all warranty related
issues.
EXTENT OF COVERED WARRANTY WORK
Bayco will repair or replace this product at our option. If it is determined
