ASSEMBLY /INFLATION
Please follow the particular order given below to avoid any kind of strain or premature
ageing on the YAKKAir HP / Nomad HP.
1. The two main bladders : Inflate them with the "octopus-type" Y pipe. The rigid bow and
stern ribs take shape as the air pressure increases in the kayak. Make sure to line up the RIB
with the RIB guides located at the bottom of the boat and under the deck. These RIBS are
equipped with an adjustable restraining strap. Seal the valves with the valve caps.
Do not overtwist the valves, and hold the supporting bracket when tightening, so as not to
twist and/or damage the internal bladder.
When the lateral chambers are half inflated, it's very important to check that the
internal bladders (left and right) are correctly positioned in their Dacron sleeves,
stretching all the way to the ends/tips of the kayak. The bladders can sometimes slip
out of position while drying or moving your kayak. Afterwards, when re-inflating
your kayak, a badly positioned bladder can result in an air pocket at the bladder ends,
causing the burst of the bladder.
Caution: It is pointless exceeding the 3,5 psi pressure. Nothing will be gained in
performance and you risk damaging your kayak irretrievably.
