ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The motor control unit comprises an electronic
microprocessor-control system employing the latest
technology. It offers all connection possibilities and functions
necessary for safe and reliable operation.
The electrical connections are given in Illustration 2.
The control box containing the motor control module is to be
fitted with cable entry at bottom. It should not be continuously
exposed to direct sunlight. For weather protection, we
recommend the fitting of a small protection roof.
Thanks to the electronic control unit, fine adjustment of the
push-pull torque is possible. When correctly adjusted, gate
movement can be easily blocked by hand.
During operation the gate can be stopped at any point using
the remote control or optional keyswitch.
PROTECTION OF CONTROL UNIT
BY FUSE F1 (5 AMPERE)
The fuse is activated by connection errors and/or short-
circuits in the 230V range of the protection circuit.
Never replace the fuse by a stronger one. This could have
fatal consequences. It also leads to immediate invalidation of
the warranty, also for all ancillary equipment.
Pressure pads complying with ZH1-494 (Guidelines for
power-operated doors and gates) are required for protection
of points subject to crushing or shear forces.
In the case of permanent mounting, means of separating the
system from the mains must be provided. The contact
spacing of the main switch used in this connection must be at
least 3 mm. When the main switch is turned off, all poles of
the drive must be voltage-free.
Remote-controlled gates must have an emergency OFF
switch.
