Intended use
The product is designed to measure and transfer angles. With the integrated levelling system, the product
can also be used for horizontal or vertical alignment of surfaces and edges. The power supply is via two
batteries size AAA (not included).
Please read these operating instructions carefully to ensure safe use and operation of the product. Keep
these operating instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you pass the product on to a third party,
please pass on these operating instructions as well.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions. Any
use other than that described above is not permitted and can lead to damage of this product; this can also
lead to danger for the user.

D amage due to not following these operating instructions will void the warranty! We do
not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
W e do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages caused by the
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty
will be null and void.
a) General
• T he unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for safety
and approval reasons (CE). Do not dismantle the product, except for inserting or replacing the
batteries as described in this operating manual.
• M aintenance, adjustment, or repair work should be carried out only by a specialist/specialist
workshop. There are no components for you to adjust or maintain within the device.
• T he product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. It contains small parts,
glass and batteries. Additionally, there is risk of injury. Use or store the product so that it is out
of the reach of children.
• T he product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fluctuations,
direct sunlight, intense vibration, high mechanical stress, or humidity.
T hat may cause deterioration of measurement precision and consequently measurement er-
ror.
• H andle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental falls, even
from a low height.
• T he product must not be operated in explosive environments.
• D o not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• I n schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops, the operation of the product
is to be supervised by trained employees.
• I n commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability In-
surance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are to be observed.
• I f you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions, please con-
tact our technical department or another specialist.
b) Operation
• T he product must not get damp or wet, as this could damage it. Therefore, do not use the
product during precipitation, in humid environments or in/under water.
• U se the device in a moderate climate only, do not use it in a tropical climate. For more informa-
tion on acceptable environmental conditions, see the chapter "Technical Data".
• N ever use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The resulting condensation may lead to malfunctions or damage under certain circum-
stances!
L et the product reach room temperature before using it.

• P rotect the product from dust and dirt.
• P lease use the product only for measurement, but never for other tasks. •
use the product as a replacement for a lever or hammer. The product is a high precision
measuring device and must be handled accordingly.
• W hen you perform sawing on a workpiece for which you have determined an angle or mitre
angle, observe the safety instructions of the saw (and all of the other tools being used) as well
as the general accident prevention regulations.
• T urn the product off when it is not in use.
• I f the product is not to be used for a while (e.g., storage), remove the batteries. An ageing
battery may leak and can damage the product! Afterwards, keep the product in a clean, dry,
and out of children's reach place.
Notes on primary and secondary batteries
• B atteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• C heck that the polarity is correct when inserting/connecting the batteries or rechargeable batteries (pay
attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
• D o not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk that they could be swallowed by
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately, it could be fatal!
• M ake sure that batteries/rechargeable batteries are not short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into a fire.
There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• D o not recharge conventional non-rechargeable batteries; risk of explosion!
• O ld or flat batteries can leak liquid chemicals that may damage the device. If not used for a longer period
(e.g., in case of storage), remove the inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• C ontact of leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries with the skin can cause acid burns; there-
fore, use suitable protective gloves.
• L iquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces
coming into contact with these liquids may get considerably damaged. Therefore, keep batteries/recharge-
able batteries in a suitable location.
• F or the correct disposal of batteries/rechargeable batteries, please read the chapter "Disposal".
I t is possible to operate the product with rechargeable batteries size AAA (Micro). However, the
operating time is reduced by the lower voltage of a rechargeable battery, the self-drain, and the
lower capacity. Therefore, we recommend operating the product only with high-quality alkaline
batteries to ensure long and reliable operation.
