- the front tyre (must have a pressure of 2.5
bar, atmospheres) and rear tyre (solid
rubber); replace when necessary
- that the wheels are firmly fixed
- that the brakes are working properly,
especially the rear brake and the brake pad.
The scooter may become unstable if the
rear brake is warped or loose. The rear
wheel may lock if the spring is not in a
suitable condition to properly support the
mudguard or if the distance between the
brake pad and the rear wheel is too small.
Check that the brake is working properly by
testing it at low speed.
- that the handles are correctly screwed on to
the handlebar
- that the long bar is correctly secured and
locked with the lever
- the handlebars and the steering are solid,
and there is no noticeable movement or
noise.
- The lock/unlock lever is correctly closed. If
not, the handlebar stem could come off
