1 INTRODUCTION
The integrated amplifier MUP 340 is highly versatile in as much as it can be fed at: fixed rate
230 V (restaurants, boutiques, supermarkets, hotels, offices, large department stores and
industrial systems) and by 12V battery (on cars or ships...).

DESCRIPTION
Rear Panel (Fig. 1)
1.
Power cable socket VAC Power Input with fuse holder
Socket for connecting the AC power cable at 230V. It contains the fuse that protects
the AC supply circuits on the unit. In the event of a blown fuse, the same must only be
replaced a respecting the fuse type and capacity: T 1,6A 250V~, as shown in the rear
panel.
2.
Power connector DC 12V CC
These terminals enable the connection of amplifiers to the Direct Current at 12V.
3.
Output terminals for speakers at constant impedance
These terminals enable the connection of speakers to the constant impedance
output: 4 ohm or 8 ohm or 16 ohm.
4.
Output terminals for speakers at constant voltage
These terminals enable the connection of speakers to the constant voltage output:
70 V or 100V.
Note :Never use the two output configurations at the same time, as this
could damage the unit.
5.
Memory switch
Circuit breaker that push on for switch on.
Front panel (Fig. 2)
Front panel (Fig. 2)
1.
ON/OFF Switch
This switch allows amplifier switch on and switch off and relevant LED indicator (ON) .
2.
Output level display
Indicates the output level.
3.
Protection
Led glows when a protection's circuit is activated.
4.
MIC 1
Volume control of MIC 1 input.
5.
MIC 1 Input
Is microphonic input unbalanced with 6,3 jack mono on the front panel.
6.
Priority Threshold
Trimmer allows to adjust priority action on MIC1 input respect to other inputs .
7.
MIC 2-LINE
Volume control of MIC 2 - LINE input.
8.
MIC 2 - LINE Input
Unbalanced input suitable to connect unbalanced microphones or to connect audio
source at line level, Input connector is 6,3 Jack mono.
9.
Input Sensitivity switch
Switch enable to select input MIC2/LINE sensitivity , line sensitivity or microphonic
(MIC/LINE).
10.
AUX
Volume control of AUX input.
11.
AUX Output
Input suitable to connect deck, CD player, etc. with connectors RCA pin.
12.
CONTROL
Allows to control low frequencies (100Hz), and this help to adapt output signal,
especially with horn speaker uses .

CONNECTION
Amplifier is provided of two output: constant voltage 70V or 100V; or constant impedance
4ohm, 8ohm or 16ohm.
In dimensioning of the speaker system must considered the following rules:
Speaker system constant voltage 70-100V (Fig. 3-4)
-
Every loudspeaker must be equipped with line transformer that has nominal input
voltage equal to line voltage (70 V or 100 V)
-
Total nominal power of all speakers must not exceed higher amplifier's nominal
power.
Example.
Data:
Power Speaker
10W
Power Amplifier 45W
Power Amplifier : Power Speakers = n° max speakers
45
:
10
Speaker system constant impedance (Fig. 5) :
-
Total impedance of connected loudspeakers has to be the equal to nominal output
value of the amplifier.
Example:
Fig. 5-A, total impedance must be 4ohm
Fig. 5-B, total impedance must be 8ohm
Fig. 5-C, total impedance must be 16ohm
Fig. 6, speakers's combination with several impedance.
-
Loudspeaker power values total sum cannot be lower than amplifier power,
otherwise speakers can be damaged.
Do connection according to the following rules:
-
use cables of adequate cross section. The bigger the distance between the amplifier
and the speaker, the greater the cable cross section should be. This prevents signal
losses along the line.
-
to prevent inductive phenomena causing buzzes and disturbances and affecting the
proper operation of the system, the connection cables must not be placed in
raceways or near appliances that produce strong magnetic fields (eg. power
transformers), power leads and speaker supply lines. Moreover, to minimise the
inductive effects caused by coupling with electrical fields, use cables with braided
leads.
