nOTE:
It takes approximately 60 minutes to charge up a completely discharged battery.
The battery pack has a power indicator showing how much battery power remains. Push the power indicator button to
check. Each green light indicates 25% of the battery power. Four green lights indicate the battery is 100% full.
CLEANING
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Warning:
penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
Electric tools used on fiberglass material, wallboard, spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to accelerated wear
and possible premature failure because the fiberglass chips and grindings are highly abrasive to bearings, brushes,
commutators, etc. Consequently, we do not recommended using this tool for extended work on these types of materials.
However, if you do work with any of these materials, it is extremely important to clean the tool using compressed air.
LUBRICATION
This product is permanently lubricated at the factory and requires no additional lubrication.
SPOOL REPLACEMENT (FIG 15)

Push in tabs on both sides of spool cap and remove the
spool cap.

To install the new spool, make sure the line is captured in
the two slots on the top of the spool.
Thread the line through the eyelet before installing the
new spool in the place.
Pull the line extending from the line head and release the
line from the slots in the spool.
Reinstall the spool cap by depressing tabs into slots and
pushing down until spool cap clicks into place.
LINE REPLACEMENT (FIG 16)
Remove the battery.
Remove the spool from the line head.
Remove any old line remaining on the spool.
Cut a piece of line approximately 11 ft. long. Use only
0.065" diameter round or twisted line.
Insert one end of the new line into the hole in the center
column of the spool, then wind the line around the spool in
the direction as shown on the spool.
Leave approximately 4" of the line unwound and secure
the line by using the slots.
After winding the line, there should be at least 1/4"
between the wound line and the outside edge of the spool.
Replace the plastic retainer, spool, and the spool cap.
