Radio Operation; Preset Stations - Caliber HCG 008Q Manuel

Snooze settings
• When an alarm sounds, press the [SNOOZE] button (4) to stop the buzzer or radio alarm. The alarm will sound
again after about 9 minutes. The SNOOZE function can be repeated within 1 hour from the set alarm time.
• D uring the time when SNOOZE function is activated, the corresponding alarm indicator will flash.
• To switch off the SNOOZE function, simply press [MODE] button (1) once. The alarm indicator will stop
flashing and the alarm will not sound again until the set time on the next day.
Sleep timer settings
• When you're listening to the radio, hold the [SLEEP] button (2). The display shows "SL 00" (for 0 minutes).
Press the [SLEEP] button (2) repeatedly until the display shows your desired SLEEP time period. The time
period is shown on the display in sequence as: OFF (00) > 05 > 15 > 30 > 45 > 60 > 90.
• 2 seconds after the desired SLEEP period is chosen, the display will change back to show the current time,
and the radio will play for the SLEEP time duration you have set and then turn off automatically.
• To switch off the SLEEP timer function during SLEEP mode, hold the [MODE] button (1) for 2 sec.
Note: the Sleep Timer function can be used without problems in combination with a set alarm(s).

Radio operation

• Press the [MODE] button (1) once to turn ON the radio. The radio receives a FM band and the LED display
indicates the frequency. After 3 seconds, the LED display will change back to show the time.
• Adjust the volume by pressing the [VOL] button (5) once and use [DOWN/UP] (6/7) to set.
• Tune into the desired station by either of the 2 following methods:
- Manual Tuning: Use the [DOWN/UP] (6/7) buttons until the desired station is reached.
- Auto Scanning: Press and hold either the [DOWN] (6) or [UP] (7) button for more than 2 seconds to start
auto scan. Scanning will stop automatically when a clear radio signal is found. Repeat the same procedure
by using the same button until your desired station is found.
Note: To stop auto scanning, press either the [DOWN] (6) or [UP] (7) button once.
• To turn off the radio, hold the [MODE] button (1) for 2 sec.
Note: The current station and volume level will be memorized when the radio is turned off. Once you turn on
the radio again, the memorized station will be broadcasted at the memorized volume level.

Preset stations

• In radio mode, tune into a radio station (see above).
• Press and hold the [SET/MEM] button (3) for more than 2 seconds until preset number appears and flashes.
• You can then choose the preset position (01~20) using the [DOWN/UP] (6/7) buttons.
• Press the [SET/MEM] button (3) once, or wait 8 seconds, to set the preset.
• Repeat these steps until all desired preset staions are stored (max. 20)
• To recall a memorized preset station press the [SET/MEM] button (3) repeatedly till you reached the desired
number and wait until the frequency is shown.
Back up battery
Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment (22). In the event of a power interruption or if
unplugged, your time settings will be saved for a short period of time.
Charge function
The HCG008Q is equiped with a Qi certified wireless charging pad and a 5V USB output.
• Wireless charging:
Place your wireless charging compatible phone/device on the pad (8). Charging starts as soon as the device
is close enough to the charging pad (<6mm). Left, right or upside down; it all gives the same effect. If the
device is already fully charged or not compatible, than nothing happens.
• USB charging:
The USB connector on the HCG008Q has 5V output can be used for charging. Just use the charging cable
that came with your device to connect.
