Cleaning
• Before you take the pump out of the water for a cleaning, pull the mains plug out of
the mains socket.
• Disconnect the suction cover from the pump, which is
only placed on. The cover of the impeller wheel is located
underneath, see image on the right.
Turn the cover of the impeller wheel slightly to the right to be
able to remove it.
Finally, you still need to pull out the fan wheel (this is held
onto by the motor magnets, so it does not fall out by itself).
• Clean all parts carefully under clear lukewarm water. Do not use any aggressive
chemicals or cleaning agents. Algae or other heavy soiling can be removed care-
fully with a brush (e.g. a toothbrush), but do not use force.
After cleansing, assemble the pump in reverse order (insert the impeller wheel into
the pump, place the cover of the impeller wheel , turn to the right, finally fasten the
suction cover until it snaps into place.
Tips and Notes
• The flow rate decreases the deeper the pump is placed in the water.
• The value for maximum operating depth (max. 2 m) which is specified in chapter
"Technical data" and on the product label is technical testing value.
For the use as an indoor fountain pump, such an operating depth is virtually not
required. Also, the length of the power cord limits the real potential depth to about
50 cm.
• Please make sure that the heating filaments are not bent. Tiny leaves of aquatic
plants can clog the intake ports.
Check the pump functionality regularly to prevent any damage.
• In case of prolonged operation, algae or suspended solids may settle inside the
pump, which will reduced the pump's performance. According to water quality,
check the pump for fouling / dirt ever so often and clean as required, see "Clean-
ing".
