Pairing
Before the bicycle computer can receive wireless data from the respective sensors (pulse rate
chest band, pedal sensor, wheel sensor), these sensors must be connected to the bicycle
computer. This process is called "pairing".
In this way, the bicycle computer learns which wireless data are intended for it. For this reason,
no disruptions can be caused by other Bluetooth
signals are ignored.
During the "pairing" process, the bicycle computer and the device to be learned (pulse rate
chest band, pedal sensor, wheel sensor) should not be too far removed from one another. Also
keep other Bluetooth
devices (like a smartphone with Bluetooth
®
bicycle computer while the "pairing" process is in progress.
Activate the operation of the respective sensor in the corresponding menu of the bicycle com-
puter before you start the "pairing" process.
After the "pairing" starts, the bicycle computer searches for wireless signals (e.g. from pulse
rate chest band, pedal sensor, wheel sensor). Activate the respective sensor as described in
its operating instructions. Also pay attention to the detailed English operating instructions of the
bicycle computer on the "pairing" of sensors.
For example, the chest band is activated when it is put on as usual or when both
contact surfaces are held with both hands.
The wheel sensor or the pedal sensor is activated when the magnet belonging to it
passes by the sensor.
