WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light any appliance.
• Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's phone. Follow the gas supplier's instructions.
• If you cannot reach a gas supplier, call the fire department.
Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier.

- Page 4 Chapter 2: Installation 2.1 INSPECTING FOR FREIGHT DAMAGES Your unit was carefully packed in a container which complies with the National Safe Transit Test. This means that the packaged product, with normal handling, will withstand the load conditions encountered in normal transit and in handling. Your unit should be inspected immediately after unpacking to determine if any damage is present due to shipping or handling.

The Dynapack unit is approved for indoor installation only and must be TOP VIEW installed with one of the factory supplied wall sleeves. The unit is intended to 4" MIN. TO DOOR be installed in a closet or equipment room. The unit is certified for 0” clearance to the cabinet sides, cabinet back and the first 3 feet of the supply duct. - Page 6 E: INSTALLING AND SECURING UNIT TO WALL SLEEVE Before installing and securing the unit to the wall sleeve, make sure that the proper grille kit is installed. Due to the temperatures of the combustion products released from the gas vent, DynaPack gas package units require the use of an aluminum grille kit (see the Accessories chapter).

H: GAS SUPPLY WARNING Any conversion of an S-Series natural gas unit to liquefied petroleum (LP) gas must be done by qualified personnel using a conversion kit available from the manufacturer, following the instructions in the conversion kit, If done improperly, over firing of the burners and improper burner operation can result. - Page 8 The Dynapack unit is approved for indoor installation only and must be installed with one of the factory supplied wall sleeves. The unit is intended to be installed in a closet or equipment room. The unit is certified for 0” clearance to the cabinet sides, cabinet back and the first 3 feet of the supply duct.
- Page 9 D: VENTING The Dynapack unit uses outside air for combustion and vents the exhaust products directly outside. The Dynapack unit cannot be vented with other appliances. The venting system of the Dynapack unit cannot be modified or adjusted in any manner other than what is specified in these instructions.
- Page 10 F: DUCT WORK The duct work for the dwelling should be designed for the lowest possible static pressure to reduce energy usage and noise. Table 9 at the end of this chapter lists the approximate cfm delivery of the units on each of the indoor blower speeds. Table 5 lists the recommended heating and cooling speeds with its approximate cfm delivery.

2.4 AIR FILTER The Dynapack unit is equipped with a permanent, cleanable air filter. This filter can be used if the unit is installed so that the filter is accessible to the homeowner. The permanent filter installed inside the unit must be removed and discarded if a disposable filter is installed in the return air duct. -

REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION Commonwealth of Massachusetts For all side wall horizontally vented gas fueled equipment installed in every dwelling, building or structure used in whole or in part for residential purposes, including those owned or operated by the Commonwealth and where the side wall exhaust vent termination is less than seven (7) feet above finished grade in the area of the venting, including but not limited to decks and porches, the following requirements shall be satisfied: 1. - Page 15 Chapter 3: Unit Startup & Operation WARNING Failure to follow these instructions may lead to a fire, explosion, property damage, personal injury, or loss of life. To prevent freezing of the drain condensate in the P-Trap, the installation location should not be exposed to freezing conditions. F : CONDUITS Les conduits du logement doivent être conçus pour une pression statique la plus faible possible afin de réduire la consommation d'énergie et le bruit. Le Tableau 9, à la fin de ce chapitre, répertorie le débit approximatif des appareils en cfm à chacune des vitesses de la soufflante intérieure. Le Tableau 5 répertorie les vitesses de chauffage et de refroidissement recommandées avec le débit approximatif en cfm. -
