When you start using the all-in-one PC again, the PC will quickly exit the standby
mode, and the desktop will be accurately restored to the state prior to the standby.
In Standby mode, the unsaved data will not be stored on the hard disk; instead, it is
stored in the internal memory of the PC.
In the event of a power outage when in Standby, these data will be lost. Therefore,
before putting the all-in-one PC into Standby mode, you should save all files. If you
want your work be automatically saved when leaving your all-in-one PC, you should
use Hibernate instead of Standby. However, when put into Hibernate mode, the all-
in-one PC will be shut down.
With the Hibernate mode, all of your work will be restored to where you left off. The
data in the internal memory will be saved on the disk, and the monitor and hard dri-
ve will be shut down, which will lower the power use and reduce the wear and tear
on your all-in-one PC. It generally takes longer for the all-in-one PC to resume from
Hibernate than from Standby. However, the PC uses less power when in Hibernate
compared to when in Standby.
