Using the parabolic heater
Switching on
!
WARNING! Fire hazard
• Make sure that all air inlets and
exhausts are kept free from obstruction
and closure.
• The appliance must be operated no
closer than 800 mm to the sides and
800 mm above all combustible sur-
faces, fabrics, flammable materials and
persons.

CAUTION! Burn hazard
• Do not move the appliance during
use.
• Do not touch the hot parts of the appli-
ance during and after use. Leave the
appliance to cool down properly.
1. Check that the connection between heater
and gas container is tight.
2. Open the control valve by turning the temper-
ature control knob a quarter turn anti-clock-
wise (fig. 31., page 4).
3. Hold a lit match near the burner edge
(fig. 3 2., page 4).

NOTE
Do not open the control valve beyond
the marking for maximum intensity to pre-
vent unnecessary flaring and gas waste.
4. Adjust the heating intensity by turning the tem-
perature control knob (see fig. 4, page 4).
Switching off
1. Close the control valve by turning the temper-
ature control knob fully clockwise (see
fig. 2 1., page 4).
2. Make sure that the appliance is fully extin-
guished before leaving the appliance unat-
tended.
Disconnecting the parabolic heater
from the gas container

WARNING! Explosion hazard
Only change gas containers outdoors in
a well-ventilated area, away from naked
flames, any other source of ignition, and
other people.
1. Check that the appliance is fully extinguished,
the control valve is closed (see chapter
"Switching off" on page 9) and all surfaces are
cool.

NOTE
Make sure that you do not lose the seal-
ing washer while unscrewing the heater.
2. Unscrew the heater from the gas container
anti-clockwise (see fig. 5, page 5).

NOTE
The gas container may be disconnected
although some gas remains.
3. Check the contents of the gas container by
shaking the gas container. If there is a sound or
feeling of liquid movement, the cylinder con-
tains gas.
4. If necessary, dispose the gas container accord-
ing to the instructions printed on the gas con-
tainer.
