Test weighing
Optimal use of the weigher is ob-
tained only when there are good
possibilities of carrying out test
weighings. See the paragraph „In-
stallation".
While the weigher is operating
under normal conditions, the grain
from two weigher tips are retained
(one from each compartment of the
weighing hopper), and these are
weighed on an accurate scale.
If the batch weight is too big, the
sliding weight (B) is moved towards
the middle of the weigher. If the
batch weight is too small, the slid-
ing weight is moved outwards (to-
wards the right). The test is being
repeated until an accurate result is
achieved.
Test weighing should be carried out
immediately after installation and
when changing from one type of
grain or material to another.
Furthermore, test weighing should
be carried out in case the through-
put capacity and the material flow
conditions are changed.
Counter
The counter records the number of
batches passing through the weigh-
er. The weighed quantity equals the
number of weighed batches ∞ the
weight of the batches. See the
paragraph „Setting up of required
batch weight".
Set counter to zero: Put the key in
the counter and turn it until all of
the figures are at 0.
The weigher can also be provided
with a pulse switch for electronic
counter or other electrical control

(accessories).

Lubrication

All moving parts, except the knife
bearings, are to be oiled with a thin
oil. Remove superfluous oil, as it
will cause dust to accumulate.
To prevent rusting, oil the weigher
carefully whenever it is not required
for a long period.
The weigher should be cleaned
regularly. Damp air and gummy
materials may cause dust to build
up on the weigher parts. Check
especially the knife bearings.
