Operation
Freed manually the ribs before opening the first time. Turn crank (F) slowly until
canopy is taut. Never force the ribs.
G) To rotate the umbrella just lift the turning handle (3). Turn umbrella in required
position and lower the handle to lock the mast.
H) IMPORTANT: After the first opening you MUST insert the spacer-buttons (17)
with enclosed screws onto each rib. Holes on each rib have been predrilled. The
spacer buttons prevent the ribs from closing completely and make it much easier
to reopen the umbrella.
I) Unscrew the adapter (15) on the slider (14) to fix the optional LED-light (J).
Closing:
Turn crank (4) counter clockwise until the shade roof is closed.
K) Avoid clamping, abrasion and premature wear and tear of fabric. Pull out the
fabric individually and completely between the ribs, apply the layers tight around
the pole and secure with the strap. The fabric should not flap in the wind.
Use the protective cover to protect your fabric and prolong the life of the canopy.
Disassembling of shade roof:
Lift shade roof, turn 90° and lower it by sliding through the head fitting (E).
Unhook the metalhook (D). Store the shade roof in a protected area.
Maintenance and care:
Inspect the installation fitting on a regular basis and tighten if necessary.
Mast and frame can be washed with clear water periodically, if installation is in a
salty or industrial environment.
Canopy
For general maintenance, use a soft brush to remove dust and dry soil. Wash
down with clean, warm water (i.e. garden hose) every so often to avoid dirt beco-
ming engrained. Allow the fabric to air dry before closing the canopy.
If a thorough cleaning is necessary, sponge over the fabric using a mild soap so-
lution or detergent (pH value 7). Rinse well with plenty of water to remove all soap
residues.
Never use detergents, cleaning fluids or solvents. Grease and oil stains may be
removed by using turpentine or similar with an absorbent cloth.
We recommend giving the canopy a good cleaning on a more frequent basis if
installed in a location where the canopy is likely to become soiled.
The cover should never be rolled up for long periods of time when wet or damp.
Use of protective cover extends the fabric's lifetime and slows down the fading
process.
