Blackfoot Angler 11'0 is a specialized inflatable stand-up paddleboard (SUP) for angling in sheltered inshore
coastal or inland waterways. Regardless of experience level, SUP users should always be prepared to enter
water when using any SUP board including this one.
Competence: The operation of any vessel is a serious responsibility. Each operator must be competent to
control the board including ensuring safety of vessel and crew. If you are unfamiliar with the sport, consider
the risks and make certain you are competent to handle and operate this board in the intended conditions.
Your dealer, local experts, and clubs can all be useful sources of information regarding local conditions,
training and/or competent use of this product.
Capacity: Both shape and weight affect the stability of your SUP board. Shape is determined by the
manufacturer and cannot be changed. Added weight of gear and paddlers is controlled by the user and
must always be less than the maximum weight capacity stated in this manual.
Trim: Placement of added weight can influence performance of the craft and may adversely affect stability.
Do not concentrate more than 300lb (136kg) in any one area during use. Gear and/or paddlers should be
positioned such that the board remains level in the water for best performance.
Maintain Working Pressure: Air pressure is temperature dependent. Always confirm proper working
pressure before use. Be aware that changing temperatures can cause critical over or under-inflation.
Leaving the board in the sun may quickly affect the internal pressure causing permanent damage. If you
must leave the board, find a shady area, release some air, and leave board upside down to minimize
thermal over-inflation and potential UV damage.
If board shows signs of instability or pressure loss, discontinue use until board is returned to working
pressure and/or repairs made.
Paddling - First Steps:
1. Place board in the water in an area protected from wind and boat traffic. Begin in water deep enough
for fin to avoid contact with the bottom. First-time paddlers may start sitting, on knees, or standing in an
athletic stance with feet near center handle. Stability increases as board moves forward.
2. Consider prevailing conditions such as wind, waves, tides, currents and other environmental factors in
planning route. Always be aware of weather and tide/ current changes that may affect return to safety.
3. Maintain a safe distance from sharp rocks, docks, boats, exposed or submerged trees, muscles,
barnacles and any other item that may cause damage to this product. Although this product is extremely
durable, avoid contact with sharp objects that may cut or puncture hull.
Transportation: One of the best features of high-quality inflatable SUP's is that they are extremely portable.
When packed into original storage bag this board fits easily into a closet for storage and the back of most
cars for transport.
Inflated boards can be transported on roof racks with adequate straps. Nose forward and bottom facing
upward is best. Monitor sun exposure – be careful not to exceed working pressure.
A well-packed iSUP can typically go on most airlines without oversize baggage charges. A 3-piece
Aquaglide paddle will ensure paddle fits in the bag too. This board includes an extremely durable travel bag,
which is recommended for airline travel with any Aquaglide iSUP.
