Intended Use
The product is an electronic transformer intended for the voltage/power supply of conventional
halogen illuminants or other suitable illuminants.
The electronic transformer supplied is designed to be connected to a conventional power sock-
et (230V~/50Hz).
The product is only to be used in dry indoor locations. It must not get damp or wet.
Any other use, than that described above, could lead to damage to this product and involves a
risk for short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled. Never take the product apart (apart
from the described works during installation and change of battery, described in these operating
instructions).
All the safety and assembly instructions must be carefully followed!
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements.

°
Please read through the entire instructions carefully before operation of the
device. They contain important information on its correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases!
Caution!
The electronic transformer may only be installed by a qualified technician
who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German electrical
wiring regulations)!
Improper work carried out at the mains voltage endangers not only your life
but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but entrust a qualified electrician.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifica-
tions to the product are not permitted. Never take the product apart (apart from
the described works during installation and change of battery, described in these
operating instructions).
• The design of the product complies with safety class II. The product must only be
operated via the mains voltage of the public mains supply (230V~/50Hz).
• This product is only to be installed and used in dry conditions indoors. The prod-
uct must be protected from damp and wet, as there is a risk of a fatal electric
shock!
• Do not allow children to play with the device. Children cannot assess the dangers
arising from incorrect use of electrical devices. Therefore, be especially careful
when children are around. Install and use the product out of the reach of children.
• Only suitable illuminants must be operated at the electronic transformer. If nec-
essary, consult the operating manual of the illuminant or the notes of the manu-
facturer of the illuminant.
The electronic transformer is not suited for voltage/power supply of special LED
illuminants that need a ballast with constant current.
• The maximum output power of the electronic transformer must never be exceed-
ed. Please see section "Technical Data" or the labels on the transformers.
When connecting the illuminants observe their power input and determine the
overall power input before connecting them to the electronic transformer.
• Never connect the outputs (low voltage) with two or more electronic transformers!
This destroys all transformers and the lamps!
• The electronic transformer of type "Profi" (order-no. 574230, 574267, 574269)
dispose of two connection clamps for the mains voltage. One is to be used as
input (connection to the mains voltage); the other connector can be used as ouput
to a second electronic transformer in order to facilitate the cabling.
Note!
The maximum connection power at the mains voltage output must not exceed
500W otherwise the electronic transformer will be damaged (Overload of the con-
ducting paths on the board), loss of warranty!
• Do not expose the product to strong mechanical stress. The product can be dam-
aged if crushed, struck or dropped, even from a low height.
• Do not expose it to high (>+50°C) or low temperatures (<0°C), strong vibrations
or direct sunlight.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may be dangerous if played
with by children.
• The accident prevention regulations of the association of compensation insurers
must be followed when using all electrical facilities and equipment in commercial
locations.
• You should also heed the additional safety instructions in each chapter of this
manual.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this instruction manual, please
contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
