switched on. For this, it is imperative that you observe the instructions in
the section "Electrical Connection".
• Certain minimum or maximum distances must be observed when installing
the daytime running lights. For this, follow the instructions in the section
"Installation" without fail.
• When installing and operating the daytime running lights, always observe
the applicable motor vehicle regulations and road traffi c regulations. Be-

• The daytime running lights are no replacement for the dipped headlights,
which must be switched on during twilight, in the dark or under poor visi-

Installation
Modifi cations to the vehicle made necessary due to the installation of the
product or other components must always be carried out in such a manner
that neither the traffi c safety nor the design stability of the motor vehicle
are impaired. With many vehicles, the MOT will be void if you cut out a
section of the sheet metal. Find out ahead of time from the vehicle manu-
facturer or a specialist shop.
If you are in doubt when selecting a place for installation, consult your
vehicle dealer.
When installing your daytime running lights, take into consideration the
risks that can arise from components being torn away in the event of an
accident. Therefore, you should secure each component in a place where
it will not pose a risk.
Before drilling, make sure that this will not damage any electric cables,
brake leads, the fuel tank or suchlike.
If holes are bored in the body of your vehicle, the shavings must be re-
moved, and the bare metal areas must be protected against corrosion with
suitable measures (colour, preserving spray, etc.).
• When determining the installation position, please observe the following legally pre-
scribed distances:
max. 1500 mm
For a vehicle width of <1300 mm, the distance between the lights can be
reduced up to 400 mm.
min. 600 mm
