LECTRICALLY WARMED SEAT UPHOLSTERY
Upon request while ordering, the chair can be equipped with a heat-
ing system in the seat upholstery, allowing the set-up with three tem-
perature levels.
OPERATION.
This accessory can be controlled by a dedicated hand-held control.
On this control, four buttons are available; by pressing those buttons
it is possible to adjust the power of the seat warming.
MAINTENANCE.
The presence of this accessory needs some additional operations if
it is necessary to remove the seat upholstery.

Turn completely off the chair, including the back-up battery, if
provided.
▪
Raise the seat upholstery, applying a light force until it detaches
from the corresponding mated component, but do not remove it
yet.
▪
Unplug the power supply connector.
▪
Remove the upholstery.
To reassemble the part, follow the above instructions in reverse se-
quence.

UP BATTERY
Upon request while ordering, the chair can be equipped with an internal back-up battery.
This accessory allows to use the basic movements of the chair, even in absence of power supply. For example, the back-up
battery, in case of power supply failure, allows to drive the chair into a position from which the patient can be unloaded safely.
NOTE.
In absence of power supply, the chair disables all the advanced functions, such as user-defined programs, user
profiles, Trendelenburg movement, warmed seat upholstery.
OPERATION.
Should the power supply be interrupted, including by simply turning the mains switch off, the foot control display shows the mes-
sage BATTERY.
CHAIR POWER OFF.
In order to completely turn off the chair, it is needed to keep pressed the MEMORY button for five seconds.
Without this procedure, the chair will completely turn off autonomously after five minutes of chair inactivity (no move-
ment operated).
NOTE.
Once the chair has been completely turned off, it is only possible to turn it on when the power supply is restored,
by activating the main switch.
7.8. M
AGNETIC CUSHION
The SERENITY NEXT chairs may be fitted upon request with a mag-
netic cushion (see figure 11) for improved patient comfort.
MAINTENANCE.
The head support upholstery may be easily replaced by separating it
from its counterpart.
