To operate the torque wrench correctly, take the following steps:
− Wrench in OFF mode; unlock the wrench through the pull/push system at the end of the handle (fig. 1).
− Turn the knob clockwise to switch on the display (fig. 2).
− The torque value must always be set in ascending torque order – that is, from minimum to maximum value (by turning the knob
clockwise) –, to provide the best accuracy conditions (fig. 3).
− When the required torque value is reached, wait 5 seconds before locking the pull/push system (fig. 4).
− Proceed with tightening, in the direction shown by the arrow near the wrench head, making sure to apply force in the middle
of the handle - that is, on the "loading point" shown. When the set torque is reached, the wrench will click; do not proceed any
further with tightening (fig. 5).
− After finishing using the wrench, unlock the pull/push system and turn counterclockwise until the minimum value of the wrench
is reached; three horizontal dashes will appear (fig. 6).
− After a few seconds the display will be automatically turned off (fig. 7).
− If the maximum value of the wrench is exceeded, three horizontal dashes will appear on the display (and remain fixed), to
indicate that the bottom of the scale has been exceeded. Do not proceed any further by forcing the knob; bring the values back
into the scale (fig. 8).
− For proper use of the torque wrench to be ensured, DO NOT exceed the maximum or minimum values of its operating range.
− When the torque wrench is NOT used, it must always be reset until it is turned off.
− To replace the battery, open the lid, sliding it on the handle. Remove the flat battery and insert the new battery, maintaining the
polarity and complying with the technical specifications (mod. CR 1632 - 3 Volts) (fig. 9).
− Replacing the battery will not affect the calibration of the torque wrench.
Make sure that wrench calibration is tested after 12 months of operation or after 5,000 cycles.
