3 Holes for wall-mounting
4 Wall bracket
5 Pins for attaching the screw terminals
6 Knob "TIME" for setting the switching time
7 LED for function control
8 Knob "LUX" for setting the brightness threshold
9 Screw terminals: brown wire = L, blue wire = N, red wire = switched output (L') for the
consumer (lamp)
Installation
Please pay attention to the information in the chapter "Preparations for Installation"!
• Loosen the screw (2) of the wall bracket (4) and remove the wall bracket.
• Fasten the wall bracket to the wall through the mounting holes, using suitable screws and
plugs.
The motion detector may only be mounted on a vertical wall. The fastening screw (2)
must point to the ground. After mounting the motion detector on the wall bracket the
inscription "TOP" on the motion detector must point upwards!
If this is not observed, the degree of protection IP44 will not be guaranteed!
When drilling the mounting holes or screwing into place, ensure that no existing
electrical cable, gas or water pipes are damaged.
• We recommend a mounting height of approx. 2-2.5 m. Depending on the desired area to be
monitored and the orientation of the PIR motion sensor, the motion detector may of course also
be mounted at a different height.
• Guide the installation cable through the housing openings (1) of the wall bracket, remove the
plastic covers if necessary.
• Connect the mains cable and the consumer cable with the screw terminals (9). The 3 cables
that are connected there have the following configuration:
brown wire = L
blue wire = N
red wire = L' (switched L)
Pay attention to the adjacent circuit example.
Make sure, the cables are not jammed or damaged.
Check if the screwed fixtures on the motion detector's cabling are tight enough; if not,
tighten them.
The motion detector offers enough space in the inside to wire the protective earth
conductor.
• Mount the screw terminal on the pins (5). Then, place the motion detector on the wall bracket
and screw it down firmly using the screw you previously removed. Make sure that the cables
are not pinched.

Function and Adjustment of the Motion Detector
The PIR sensor in the motion detector responds to temperature changes within the detection
range, e.g. if a person, a big animal or a car enters the detection area.
After switching on the mains voltage, it takes about 30-60 seconds until the PIR motion detector
has adjusted to the background temperature and is able to recognise changes in temperature
within the detection area.
By turning or tilting, the alignment to the detection area of the motion detector can be changed.
The detection range can be restricted further by covering the plastic lens of the motion detector
e.g. with a strip of non-transparent adhesive tape.
• Setting the switch-on time (knob "TIME")
Using this control, you can set the duration for the on-time. Turning the control knob
counterclockwise to the left shortens the on-time, turning it to the right lengthens it.
• Setting the brightness control (knob "LUX")
This knob allows setting the switching threshold from which the motion detector's ambient
brightness is activated.
Turning the knob counterclockwise to the left activates the motion detector only with great
darkness, turning it to the right activates the motion detector in brighter conditions.
In order to check whether the motion detector monitors the desired detection range,
turn both knobs "TIME" and "LUX" completely to the right. Then cross the detection
area.
When the motion detector (and thus any connected lamp) are activated, the green
LED on the bottom is also lit.
Maintenance and care
The motion detector is maintenance free, this is why you should never open it or take it apart
(aside from the mounting work described in these operating instructions).
Maintenance or repairs may only be performed by qualified personnel.
Clean the lens of the motion detector occasionally from dust or debris, using a dry, clean and
soft cloth only.
Never point the jet of water from a garden hose or a high pressure cleaner at the
motion detector!
Disposal
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
