Safety and protective devices
Protective cover of the guide rail
Before transport, the protective cover must be
pushed onto the guide rail and saw chain to avoid
injuries to persons and damage to objects.

Intended use
The polemounted pruner is intended to prune es-
tablished trees and other shrubs from the ground.
The user must stand firmly on the ground (13).
Only biodegradable saw chain oil must be used.
Any use other than the designated use described
here is deemed as non-designated.
The polemounted pruner must not be used in the
commercial sector.

Possible foreseeable misuse

Do not saw off any branches that are directly
or at an acute angle above the user or other
persons.
■
Do not operate the appliance standing on a
ladder.
■
Only use one extension pipe, even if further
extension pipes are available.
■
Do not use any used oil or mineral oil.
■
Do not use the appliance in a potentially ex-
plosive atmosphere.
