Calibration box
The CE Mark verifies that our products meet the
requirements of the current EMC Directive.
Intended use
The calibration box is used to set sensor parameters for
compatible systems.
Opening the calibration box or non-approved use are not
permitted and will result in the loss of warranty and liability
claims against the manufacturer.
General safety notes
Installation and startup may only be performed by
trained specialists.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that local safety
regulations are observed. In particular, the operator must
take steps to ensure that a defect will not result in hazards
to persons or equipment.
If defects and unresolvable faults occur in the calibration
box, take it out of service and secure against unauthorized
use.
The calibration box may not be used in applications where
personal safety depends on proper function of the device
(not designed in accordance with EU Machinery Directive).
Read these operating instructions carefully before putting
the device into service.
DANGER
Uncontrolled system movement
► Sensors may only be connected to the calibration
box for setting purposes.
► Communication takes place via the sensor system
supply and output lines. During this bi-directional
communication between the sensor system and
calibration box, the box outputs 0 V and 0 mA. This
must be observed when using the box on a PLC.
► The calibration box must be removed after setting is
complete.

Functional principle
Thanks to communication with compatible sensor sys-
tems, the calibration box enables the configuration of
defined system properties. For example, this allows for
certain positions in the output curve of an analog sensor to
be taught in. The sensor signals (supply and output sig-
nals) are looped through the calibration box and are availa-
ble to the machine control.
The parameters that can be changed on the sensor sys-
tem can be found in the operating instructions for the
respective sensor system.
