5 Operation
5.1 Direct settings
1) Adjust the brightness with the button
time the button is pressed, the brightness will
increase until the maximum is reached, then it will
be reset to the minimum value.
2) Adjust the contrast with the button
the button is pressed, the contrast will increase until
the maximum is reached, then it will be reset to the
minimum value.
3) Adjust the vertical image position with the button
(4). Each time the button is pressed, the image will
be shifted a little to the top until the highest position
is reached, then it will be reset to the lowest posi-
tion.
4) Adjust the horizontal image position with the button
(6). Each time the button is pressed, the image
will be shifted a little to the left until the left end posi-
tion is reached, then it will be reset to the right end
position.
5) For further settings, shortly press the button MENU
(1) to call the on-screen menu:
5.2 Settings via the on-screen menu
The following menu will appear on the VGA monitor:
The symbol of the first menu item "RESOLUTION" will
flash and the current setting will be displayed in the
centre, e. g. "1280 × 1024".
Select the desired menu item with the button
and change the value with the button

The button MENU (1) will allow to exit the adjusting
menu at any time.
Note: If a setting is selected which cannot be correctly
reproduced by the monitor connected, the menu is
possibly no longer legible which makes further change
of the setting impossible. In this case, reset the VTM-
15 to its factory settings (
5.3 Reset to factory settings
To reset all menu settings, keep the button MENU (1)
pressed for more than 3 s. Thus, all settings made by
the user will be deleted and replaced by the factory
settings.
5.4 After use
To prevent unnecessary power consumption, discon-
nect the plug-in power supply unit from the mains
socket after use.
