Installation and Connection
Pay attention to the information in chapter "Preparations for Installa-
tion"!
• Remove the mounting plate from the rear of the wall lamp. To do this, remove the
two socket screws above and below.
• Mark the positions for installation on the wall through the holes of the mounting
plate.
• Put the mains cable through the relevant cable hole in the mounting plate and at-
tach the mounting plate to the wall using suitable screws (and dowels, if necessary).
When drilling, mounting holes or screwing into place, ensure that no existing
cables or pipes are damaged.
• Connect the mains cable using the terminal strip in the housing of the wall light
(brown cable = L, blue cable = N, green/yellow cable = PE/earth, earth symbol).
The protective earth wire must be connected!
If the wall lamp irelaces an existing lamp and there is not a protective earth
wire available, the lamp must not be installed. First, draw a new mains cable.
In the case where no protective earth conductor is connected, faulty function-
ing of the mains voltage might charge the metal housing of the wall lamp.
There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; otherwise it
could cause a short-circuit.
Also check the other screw connections at the terminal strip (for the connection
cables of the light) and tighten them, if necessary.
• Place the wall lamp on the mounting plate. Make sure that the mains cable is not
pinched or trapped.
• Screw the two allen screws in again so that the wall lamp is secured on the mount-
ing plate.
• Switch on the mains voltage again and make sure that the wall light is functioning.
If the bulbs in the wall light do not light, switch off the mains voltage imme-
diately (take out the fuse or switch off automatic cut-out, switch off corre-
sponding ground fault circuit interrupter).
Thereafter, check the connections of the wall lamp.
In case of doubt, consult an electrical specialist (e.g. an electrician)!
Maintenance and Care
• The wall lamp does not require maintenance. The LED lamp has a long service life
and is irreplaceable.
• Switch off the wall light or disconnect it from the mains before cleaning. After that,
allow suffi cient time for the wall lamp to cool down.
• The exterior of the wall lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do
not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the
housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
